There are a lot of technical documents published for maintenance Ande of aircraft in several ways. I would list down the most used here:
1. Component maintenance manual (CMM)
2. Aircraft maintenance manual (AMM)
3. Illustrated parts catalogues (IPC)
4. Aircraft illustrated parts catalogue (AIPC)
5. Power plant build-up manual (PPBM)
6. Power plant build-up illustrated parts catalogue (PPICC)
7. Structural repair manual (SRM)
8. Wiring diagram manual (WDM)
9. Engine shop manual (ESM)
10. Temporary revision (TR)
11. Abbreviated component maintenance manual (ACMM). etc..

There are many other which I will list in my future blogs.

What is techincal publication in aviation??

This is a very general question to anyone who is new or is trying to understand the subject
. I had this question when i was about to get into my current job which deals with the same.

Let me take you through this in a simplest way possible. When you buy a mobile phone, you get a small handbook with it. Most of us barely look at it. This handbook is a very simple yet apt example to understand TECHNICAL PUBLICATION. This is a smaller platform. In case of aircraft the handbook just gets huge. This handbook is created and revised over period.

So, for aircraft components as well we have such documents which help the maintenance engineer to inspect or repair the aircraft components can be called as technical publications.
